I have a few questions, if anyone is willing to help?

Have a technical question you can't find the answer to in FAQ's? Ask it here. Game problem questions that do NOT pertain to things like training advice, what would my horse do well in, how much is it worth.

I have a few questions, if anyone is willing to help?

Hello There
Although I am not a new sponsor, I have had a sponsored account since 2006, I am a new player...Sadly time has been a factor, and also I regret to say I didn't exactley understand the game before *chuckle*

I am hoping to rectify this now, however I do have a few questions, and although I have searched about the site and rules, I am still none the wiser?

Could someone help me..

1. inbreeding or linebreeding, are you penalised in this game?, either through the game mechanics or from the other players. This may take the form of your horses if they have been linebred/inbred bot being used for stud/bought by anyone up to harrasment from other players?

2. What is a legitimate use of multiple accounts, I understand as a sponsor making 10 accounts just to rob them of all cash is not allowed, but what exactley is freezing horses?

I did want in the fullness of time to buy two sponsored accounts, one for training, and one for storing my horses, eventing them, breeding them and so on.
I don't have enough time to train and roll more than a couple of horses, and realise that unless I have two ranches I am unitentionally going to age ALL my horses unless I split them up?

Does this constitute as freezing horses, and is it not allowed in game??

Thanks for your time and patience in advance

Okay, #1 Most players do not care about inbreeding/linebreeding. It's the best way to get winners in Conformation, in fact. There will always be some people who are against it, but most of the players know that there are great reasons for inbred/linebred horses on VHR. It can help get BC foals, money winners, etc.

#2 You can not make multiple accounts if you do not have a sponsor account. If you have a sponsored account, you are allowed to have 9-10 novice accounts. You can move horses and money between these accounts and not fear getting the accounts frozen.

#3 You can put horses in your pasture on your sponsor account and that will not age them. The only horses that age are the ones in Stable on the account. There is a link on every horse's page that says Put in Stable/Pasture. Click that and it will transfer the horse between the two.

I don't think freezing horses really applies any more. If you put your horse in the pasture, it won't get any older. =)

Inbreeding's fine, a lot of people do it. :D

1. Inbreeding/Linebreeding - You aren't penalized by the game at all. Many people do this when there are limited quality horses of a breed. While some people may look down upon it, especially in breeds with a large selection, many don't care about it at all (I'm one of those). It really depends on who you're dealing with.

2. Sponsors can make extra novice accounts along with their sponsor, so many use this to have a stud ranch, foal ranch, holding ranch, eventing ranch, ranch for a specific project, etc. It depends on what you need and want. There's no need to make one to move horses you don't want aged, as the pasture is now ageless - only horses in the stable will be affected by taking turns.

Hello There guys..
heck that was quick, and my reply was only impeded by my inability to find the reply button. It seems I must progress to XP even though I am loath to, as my infernal machine is not showing all the graphics <grin>

Thanks so much for your replies, not only *obvioulsy* did I not know about the pasture not aging horses, but I also would have bought another sponsor account just to move my horses around so I didn't age them unduly. I am sure the money I would have spent their will still go to the site, but now directed towards goodies dyes/foundies <grin>.

And also thanks for the ranch information, I like to know where I stand within game rules.

Thats good to know about the linebreeding, I played for a while on **EDITED - do not mention other gaming sites, please**, till I realised it was costing £10 a week to train a horse. And because I line-bred for better stats I did tend to be the brunt of a fair amount of victimisation. I'm gald to see it doesn't happen here..

Thanks so much again, you have ALL been very very helpful!
