Gymkhana! PLEASE HELP

Ok so I've never done anything with gymkhana so I need advice!!!

Do an NPC rider count?
If so which one works?
Are certain stats important?
What is a good age?
Should the horse be hyper or very calm?
Is it true that it is totally random?

aha for my trainoff? :P

NPC I generally use English or Sport and you just enter into events. I don't even generally train between turns unless I can be bothered, then I train driving (str) or obstacle (intel).

yeah just enter into events the event is totally random so whatever you do the horse will win something :)
