I don't think tack matters at all as long as it's 100%. I quit worrying what tack I used after a racer I had won a bunch of money WITHOUT tack at all, and is currently doing well in jumping with a racing saddle, and my best dressage horses are wearing western saddles....

Doesn't matter a whit as long as it's 100%. Sometimes you'll get the odd fluke where horses win with no tack at all, as Noc's did, tho.
