Bit placed where saddle pad should be

When I click on the link that says "View Tack For this horse" everything is in the right spot, except for the saddle pad, a snaffle bit shows up instead. I tried clearing all the tack but it stays, and when I try and remove just the excess bit, it doesn't reload, or go away. It stays there. When I checked the other horses, there was no extra bit.

What discipline is your horse in? This happens to me in disciplines like halter, where you don't need a saddle.

Halter. But I have always tacked my horses before starting them in training.

You can't put a saddle on a horse trained for Halter.

Tack is specific to discipline.

Thus saddles can't go on Halter, harnesses don't go on Dressage horses and Bronco horses only get spurs and a whip Just some examples.

As for why there's a picture of a bit in the section where tack that's not necessary for specific disciplines, that's just a Nef mystery ^^

I got curious and found an totally untrained foal of mine. As long as discipline has not been chosen, I can add any tack I like. The restrictions mentioned above only apply once discipline is chosen.

The other disciplines are not halter, thus you can put saddles and pads on, and as you say, you hadn't put the tack on before putting the horse in halter. Which is why you can't put the saddle or pad on because you can't put them on horses while they are in halter.

Once you change the discipline to something else, then you will be able to tack the animal.

Okay, thanks everyone. I must have gone faster than what I was thinking and tacked the horse after switching it to halter.
