My message inbox says I have 1 new message, but I don't!!!! What's up?

Not working. This has happened before, so I took a break, and, like, a week later, it was fine. I still got on regualry, but..... oh well, I will deal. It will go away sometime or another.

I have a hunch I know whats wrong 
It'll say you have 1 message waiting until you've actually LOOKED at the message.
Occassionally I get lazy and just hit reply to message without actually reading the message. The game still counts as the message unread, so it keeps showing you have 1 message waiting for you.
Open up all the messages you've replied to recently
Making sense?

Is that what happens? I had that happen a couple times and I had it stuck on one new message for like 5 months and it wouldnt go away (mind you this had to have been in '04 or '05 xD) until I got off my lazy bum and looked at some of my messages to see if they could be deleted. I'm a dork

Everytime I've had this problem its been caused by me being lazy and not actually opening messages before replying

I fixed it. I just left it alone and it fixed overnight. Thanks for your help everyone!
